One can't separate the soul from the body in the way Thyatira's Jezebel would like because humankind is so uniquely linked to embodiment that our lives will always have some form of corporeal existence. Thus Paul in particular implores believers to "glorify God in your body" (1 Cor. 6:20) and prays that our "spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Thess. 5:23).
