People are paying in to support the people who previously paid in, but there isn't enough coming in, so it will collapse, like eery Ponzi scheme does. By the way, I had the author of a biography on Ponzi on my show. Ponzi was a good guy. He just got messed up and so he had to keep collecting money to pay the other people who paid in earlier. He didn't mean bad.

Every telecomm company is as big a corporate welfare bum as you could ask for. The obvious answer is no, but you have to see the difference up close, at a day-to-day level, to really grasp the breadth of the gap.
