Everyone's A Star Quotes By Jorge Enrique Ponce

I immediately thought of the stars. Stars. Heavenly bodies formed by huge clouds of dust and gas bumping
into one another, getting bigger, their gravity getting stronger. Once hot enough, nuclear fusion occurs. And then a star is formed.
People are shaped in a similar way - just like stars - excessive amounts of dust and hot gas. And like stars, everyone's life has a turning point prior to their big bang. The shit show before the creation. Y 'know, one of those moments that can fuck you up.
Cleopatra's was when her father named her joint regent at fourteen. Fucked-up.
Bruce Wayne's when he witnessed his parents get murdered. Fucked-up.
Charles Manson's when his mother sold him for a pitcher of beer. Fucked. Up.
Not to mention 'Helter Skelter. — Jorge Enrique Ponce

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Amy Winehouse

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Matthew Healy

When you start becoming a pop star, you think, Hold on a second, maybe my life is different now - maybe all these people that I thought of as celebrities are going to be normal, and when I walk into a room I'm going to be really cool and so is everyone else. But that's not what happens at all - I was awkward, and then I just retreated from any social engagement for about a year. — Matthew Healy

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Madonna Ciccone

Everyone has a self-destructive nature in them. It's whether you feed it or not. You don't have to be a pop star to feel connected to destruction or self-destruction. But self-destruction is self-obsession, and self-obsession is not really possible if you're engaged in raising children. And if you have a spiritual life, you're constantly being asked to see yourself as one small fragment in the bigger picture. — Madonna Ciccone

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Kevin Hearne

I dropped to my knees next to Nakari, eyes welling up already, and in a strange way I welcomed the blur to my vision and let the tears come; I'd never done so before because it had never seemed the proper time to mourn. Ben had been there when I discovered the burnt bodies of my aunt and uncle and I'd bottled everything up in shock, telling myself that the Empire was hunting us and we had to get to Alderaan. When Vader cut down Ben, there was no time to mourn him, either, only time to escape the Death Star and then join the Battle of Yavin. I lost my old friend Biggs to a TIE fighter during that battle, but I could hardly allow myself to think of that when I had to make my firing run down the trench. Then, incredibly, we won the day and everyone was happy, and there was always more work to do after that. It was never the right time to stop and feel all that I'd lost. — Kevin Hearne

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Ricky Star

No matter what you do,everyone starts off as a rookie. And if what your doing is done everyday with consistency, you will soon be a professional. Surpassing all others. — Ricky Star

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Karen Thompson Walker

Months later, Michaela's mother would spread a star chart before us and explain to me that the slowing had shifted everyone's astrological signs. Fortunes had changed. Personalities had rearranged. The unlucky had turned lucky. The lucky had turned less so. Our fates, so long ago written in the stars, had been rewritten in a day. — Karen Thompson Walker

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Elle Aycart

The Klingon snarled something that sounded horribly like Christy's pissed-off texts and everyone shut up. "First Spiner's Q and A, then Nimoy's tribute while Data gets his kicks with the Orion woman. Then signed pictures for Brett and D4C. We all convene at the panel about the ethics of the temporal prime directive. Q is making an appearance and revealing their agenda. Agreed?"
All nodded.
Christy opened her mouth, but closed it again, shaking her head. Good, because no amount of translation was going to suffice. — Elle Aycart

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Edgar Cayce

Well for everyone to make a study of astrology for, as indicated, while many individuals have set about to prove the astrological aspects and astrological survey enable one to determine future as well as the past conditions, these are well to the point where the individual understands that these act upon individuals because of their sojourn or correlation of their associations with the environs through which these are shown-see? Rather than the star directing the life, the life of the individual directs the courses of the stars, see? ... — Edgar Cayce

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Bob Fosse

Mary Martin was Broadway's biggest closet king. Everyone thought Ethel (Merman) was butch and maybe a lesbian, but she wasn't. And everyone thought that lovely little Mary was Miss Femme, and she was

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Mark Haddon

Family, that slippery word, a star to every wandering bark, and everyone sailing under a different sky. — Mark Haddon

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Kate Milford

It was a few days later I came out to Hollywood for a screen test, and so did a lot of other people. So, I really didn't think I would get it. I was definitely the one that was least likely to get it, because everyone else was an already established star. — Mary Steenburgen

Nowadays children look at everyone in the magazines and they want to be a basketball star or on a television show, but there is only so many people who can do those things and not that you shouldn't aim or dream for these things, but there are so many other fantastic jobs. So it's good to talk about how to get there and how difficult it is to get there. — Heidi Klum

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Cynthia Hand

You aren't Jim Morrison, Ty. You don't get to be some kind of tragic rock star who died young and everyone builds a shrine to. You get to be a stupid-ass kid. The only people who will remember your 'statement' are Mom and me, and that's just because we hurt too much to forget. Yeah, other people are in pain too, dipshit. Everybody feels pain. You asshole. — Cynthia Hand

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Sue Mengers

Stars are rare creatures, and not everyone can be one. But there isn't anyone on earth - not you, not me, not the girl next door - who wouldn't like to be a movie star holding up that gold statuette on Academy Award night. — Sue Mengers

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Alexander Ludwig

Everyone in Hollywood wanted a role in this movie. Everyone wanted to have a part in it. I feel so lucky that I got one, but what I find so cool about 'Hunger Games' is that the real star is the story itself. — Alexander Ludwig

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Maryrose Wood

Navigation, you see, is not just a problem for sailors. Everyone must go adventuring sooner or later, yet finding one's way home is not easy. Just like the North Star and all its whirling, starry brethren, a person's idea of where 'home' is remains in perpetual motion, one's whole life long.
Home was more than a house, even if the house was very grand. — Maryrose Wood

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Matt Chandler

More often than not, we want him to have fairy wings and spread fairy dust and shine like a precious little star, dispensing nothing but good times on everyone, like some kind of hybrid of Tinker Bell and Aladdin's Genie. But the God of the Bible, this God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, is a pillar of fire and a column of smoke. — Matt Chandler

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Warren Ellis

We hold up iPhones and, if we're relatively conscious of history, we point out that this is an amazing device that contains a live map of the world and the biggest libraries imaginable and that it's an absolute paradigm shift in personal communication and empowerment. And then some knob says that it looks like something from Star Trek: The Next Generation, and then someone else says that it doesn't even look as cool as Captain Kirk's communicator in the original and then someone else says no but you can buy a case for it to make it look like one and you're off to the manufactured normalcy races, where nobody wins because everyone goes to fucking sleep. — Warren Ellis

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Chuck Spezzano

A star is a person who shines so brightly, who gives their gifts so fully, who loves so completely that everyone is drawn by the light of this star to find the way home. — Chuck Spezzano

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Naoko Takeuchi

We all, everyone one of us, carry a star inside our chests ... Light and darkness are always side-by-side. If you show even the slightest fear or tears to the darkness, it will immediately swell and come attacking, and swallow up the light. Serenity, in order to defeat the darkness and dark souls, you must keep the star inside your chest burning brightly at all times. That is your most important charge. — Naoko Takeuchi

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Peter Cameron

New York is strange in the summer. Life goes on as usual but it's not, it's like everyone is just pretending, as if everyone has been cast as the star in a movie about their life, so they're one step removed from it. And then in September it all gets normal again. — Peter Cameron

Everyone's A Star Quotes By J. Matthew Nespoli

Nobody's truly free. Everyone is prisoner to a secret, a sin, a lie. It wasn't by accident that, in the Star Spangled Banner, Francis Scott Key set the word "free" to a note so high nobody could attain it. — J. Matthew Nespoli

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Terry Crews

Because I was not superhuman, I was just a human, and my attempts to be this superman, this Telon star, someone infallible who everyone could look at as the perfect man, were eventually my downfall.

Of course, I still write down my goals, I still see the value in being fit and doing my job well. But trying to be perfect will leave you empty-handed, whereas trying to do your best will keep you fulfilled. The best you can do is always good. I realized you don't have to be perfect, you just have to be faithful in your attempts. — Terry Crews

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Matt Haig

Advice for a human.
90. But know this. Men are not from Mars. Women are not from Venus. Do not fall for categories. Everyone is everything. Every ingredient inside a star is inside you, and every personality that ever existed competes in the theatre of your mind for the main role.
91. You are lucky to be alive. Inhale and take in life's wonders. Never take so much as a single petal of a flower for granted. — Matt Haig

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Tracey Ullman

Why does everyone think the future is space helmets, silver foil, and talking like computers, like a bad episode of Star Trek? — Tracey Ullman

Everyone's A Star Quotes By R.J. Palacio

If you want to be a star, you have to be willing to work harder than everyone else to achieve your goals and dreams! The way I see it, a dream is like a drawing in your head that comes to life. You have to imagine it first. Then you have to work extremely hard to make it come true. So, — R.J. Palacio

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Nina George

Star salt (the stars' reflection in a river) Sun cradle (the sea) Lemon kiss (everyone knew exactly what this meant!) Family anchor (the dinner table) — Nina George

Everyone is saying, "How is it with Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez?" and I say, "You're forgetting the third star." And they're like, "The car?" It's totally a star. — Courtney Solomon

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Carrie Jones

Nick spreads cream cheese on my bagel for me because it's hard to do with one hand. You need to hold the bagel and everything.
"You are the nicest boyfriend ever," I tell him and kiss his cheek.
"Gag," Devyn says.
"You're just jealous," Nick teases him and points his plastic knife at Devyn. "Which is ridiculous because you are the star of the school now that the wheelchair is totally gone. Everyone is talking about you."
"Star of the school?" Devyn asks. He takes a swig of Gatorade.
"All the girls." Nick gestures to the girls giggling behind them. "They like miracles. It's sexy. Remember how much play Jay Dahlberg got when he came back from being abducted?" He does not add by pixies because he does not have to.
"Really?" Devyn does this cheesy and really fake eyebrow wiggle thing so he looks like some sleezy porn dog. — Carrie Jones

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Kitty Kelley

Gay marriage has jumped out of the closet on to the front page. Everyone from the president of the U.S. to retired four-star general Colin Powell is embracing the issue, now supported by most Americans. Still, a few people, like former First Lady Laura Bush appear to be conflicted. — Kitty Kelley

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Jennifer McMahon

Reggie was so sick of it all. The things people knew (or thought they knew) about other people. Maybe everyone had a secret life, not just Vera. She suddenly hated all of it. She wanted people to be as see-through as fish tanks, no more murkiness, no misdirection. No lies and bullshit. No secret rooms or lies about being the star of some goddamn play that didn't even exist. — Jennifer McMahon

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Olly Murs

Since becoming a pop star, I've experimented a lot more. I've gotten more creative with what I wear. My stylist is a bit more adventurous than I would normally be, but it's really worked, and the colours really work together. I think everyone should be a bit more confident: if it's a summer's day, wear some bright colours. — Olly Murs

Everyone's A Star Quotes By J.J. Abrams

You know, we didn't want to kill anyone, but we knew that "Star Wars" is a generational tale. It always is. And for it to have some guts and some resonance and true stakes, I don't think that everyone could have come through the story unscathed. — J.J. Abrams

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Jerry Saltz

Everyone goes to the same exhibitions and the same parties, stays in the same handful of hotels, eats at the same no-star restaurants, and has almost the same opinions. I adore the art world, but this is copycat behavior in a sphere that prides itself on independent thinking. — Jerry Saltz

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Kristen Ashley

Later," I said to the room at large as I didn't want to appear rude.
For some reason this was met by Shirleen saying, "I'll put money down that she's living with him in four days."
My confused gaze swung to Shirleen but she was looking at the movie star glamour girl who was looking at me.
"Three days," Glamour girl said, smiling at me and I thought, in other circumstances, I would have liked to meet her.
"A week, she's got spirit," The other black lady said. She was smiling at me too, not like I was the butt of some joke, but in a kind way.
I opened the outer door.
Before it closed behind me, I heard Luke say strangely, "Tonight."
Then everyone laughed. — Kristen Ashley

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Helene Cixous

Those I love go in the direction of what they call the last hour - what Clarice Lispector calls, "the hour of the star," "the hour of relinquishing all the lies that have helped us live.
Writing or saying the truth is equivalent to death, since we cannot tell the truth. It is forbidden because it hurts everyone. We never say the truth, we must lie, mostly as a result of our two needs: our need for love and cowardice. — Helene Cixous

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Helen Keller

It is beyond a doubt that everyone should have time for some special delight, if only five minutes each day to seek out a lovely flower or cloud or star, or learn a verse to brighten another's dull task. What is the use of such terrible diligence as many tire themselves out with, if they always postpone their exchanges of smiles with Beauty and Joy to cling to irksome duties and relations? — Helen Keller

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Matthew Lillard

Being onstage is like being rock star. Whereas if you're doing a movie, it's such a confined space. You know, you do a comedy, it's so hard, too, 'cause with a comedy, there's no vocal reaction, there's no energy that you get back that spurs you on to be funnier because everyone has to be quiet. — Matthew Lillard

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Kami Garcia

Everyone actually stepped aside when she came down the hall. Like she was a rock star. Or a leper. — Kami Garcia

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Chuck Klosterman

There was a time in our very recent history when it was "interesting" to be a Star Wars fan. It was sort of like admitting you masturbate twice a day or that your favorite band was They Might Be Giants. Star Wars was something everyone of a certain age secretly loved but never openly recognized — Chuck Klosterman

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Elayne Boosler

When I was growing up in comedy, there were maybe 10 comics in the whole country. Everyone had a day job. You worked free for years in little clubs, then you got your big break and became a star. — Elayne Boosler

Everyone's A Star Quotes By DMX

My birth was a blessing. Sent to live and die on Earth; it's a blessing. We each have a star; all you have to do is find it. Once you do, everyone sees it, you won't be blinded. — DMX

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Carol Plum-Ucci

Why is it that everyone loves to see the rich person get flushed down the toilet? Why is it people will spend four dollars to buy a magazine just so they can read about some Hollywood star's divorce? Or arrest? Or bad luck? I have no idea what Hollywood crimes have actually been told truthfully, but at least I have the brains to say I don't know. — Carol Plum-Ucci

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Robert Pattinson

I don't think anyone can understand what's happening. Something like this is so rare. It's a mix of chance and coincidence. You wake up one day and you're suddenly a star.. Really weird. All of a sudden everyone knows who you are while you haven't changed one bit — Robert Pattinson

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Cambria Hebert

I was into her and it was creating some kind of war inside me. A war between the guy I was and the guy everyone wanted me to be. It never used to be a competition. I was happy to be that guy. The player, the football star, the charmer. I was those things. But I was more. — Cambria Hebert

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Evelyn Waugh

What is it about being on a boat that makes everyone behave like a film star?
Julia Flyte — Evelyn Waugh

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Markus Zusak

It was a place nobody wanted to stay and look at, but almost everyone did. Shaped like a long, broken arm, the road contained several houses with lacerated windows and bruised walls. The Star of David was painted on their doors. Those houses were almost like lepers. At the very least, they were infected sores on the injured German terrain. — Markus Zusak

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Ava Dellaira

Do you think that everyone gets to be a star like that? Do you think that everyone gets to be seen? Gets to be loved? Gets to glow? They don't. They don't get to do it like you did. They don't get to be as beautiful as you were. And you just wanted to burn up. — Ava Dellaira

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Nina D'Angelo

Listen to me you piece of shit, if you ever give the press information about me, my parents or even breathe a word about me to anyone ever again, I swear to god I will make it my mission to make your life a living hell. And, believe me I'll do it with a smile on my face the whole time. You're a worthless excuse for a Detective and everyone here knows it. You've screwed your way to the top and backstabbed Gena to get into your Captain's good books. Well look around you honey, you're a real star. No one stopped Gena or me taking you on. I've currently got you in a hold, where I could snap your neck if I wanted to, and not one person is stepping forward to help you. Yeah, you've really made it. - Stephanie Carovella to Sandra Barton — Nina D'Angelo

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Orhan Pamuk

Every person had a star, every star had a friend, and for every person carrying a star there was someone else who reflected it, and everyone carried this reflection as a secret confidant in his heart. — Orhan Pamuk

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Pope Francis

If I'm not mistaken, Sigmund Freud said that in every idealisation there's an aggression. Depicting the Pope as a sort of Superman, a star, is offensive to me. The pope is a man who laughs, cries, sleeps calmly and has friends like everyone else. A normal person. — Pope Francis

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Chloe Thurlow

Two spacemen touching in anti-gravity is like a kiss. But then, there is nothing like a kiss. A kiss is a rare bird. The first sip of champagne. The fleeting glimpse of a shooting star. The kiss is uniquely human. We exchange bodily fluids with a kiss. A great kiss is like eating melon on a picnic. Like diving into a warm sea. A French kiss is a battle of tongues where everyone wins. — Chloe Thurlow

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Marianne Wiggins

What if that were true?
Was that so bad?
To have created love like that out of absolutely nothing - it was a sort of miracle, wasn't it? To have set that kind of example for their son - for Flash - for everyone who saw them fumbling along together, walking, talking, marveling at life. It was a kind of glory, if he thought about it, he realized. A common uncontested outright glory for mankind, he thought. Like each and every unnamed, uncontested, unsung star up there, coupling with the dark for us to contemplate in silence. — Marianne Wiggins

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Daisy Ridley

The thing about 'Star Wars' is that every single person is important. Even though Rey is a big role, everyone influences everyone. If that wasn't so, why would so many people remember Admiral Ackbar? — Daisy Ridley

Writing 'William Shakespeare's Star Wars' was a fun exercise in mixing just the right amount of the Bard with just the right amount of everyone's favorite galaxy far, far away. — Ian Doescher

I held Star close before I departed. "If I don't come back," I told her, "find a way to give everyone the plague. — Danielle Paige

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Christina Hendricks

We were probably the last people in the country to get a VCR and we didn't have cable. There wasn't any admiration of glamour, no, 'I want to look like them or have that lifestyle', because everyone in my town had the same lifestyle. So I didn't think, 'Ooh, a movie star's birthday!' I just thought, 'What?' — Christina Hendricks

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Patrick Star

Maybe a story will cheer you up ... Once upon a time there was an ugly barnacle. It was so ugly that everyone died. The end. — Patrick Star

These days, everyone is a writer, producer and movie star. You post something on the web, get enough hits, and suddenly you have TV show. — Dustin Diamond

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Irene Nemirovsky

Then a dark shape would glide across the star-covered sky, everyone would look up and the laughter would stop. It wasn't exactly what you'd call fear, rather a strange sadness
a sadness that had nothing human about it any more, for it lacked both courage and hope. This was how animals waited to die. It was the way fish caught in a net watch the shadow of the fisherman moving back and forth above them. — Irene Nemirovsky

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Rodman Philbrick

It's fun to be amazing, to be the star of the show, to have everyone watching you - even if you have to act like a pig. — Rodman Philbrick

When you become a star, you don't change - everyone else does. — Kirk Douglas

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Catherynne M Valente

Come forward.
Come in from the summer heat and the flies. Come in from that assault on all senses, that pummelling of rod and cone and drum and cilia. Come in from the great spotlight of the sun, sweeping across the white sands, making everyone, and therefore no one, a star.

Come inside and meet the prologue. — Catherynne M Valente

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Nicole Williams

Everyone was going crazy, like they'd just witnessed the birth of Jesus and the invention of electricity at the same time. Jude was a rock star, their savior, and they were paying him homage. — Nicole Williams

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Derek Jeter

Any player that says they don't want to go to an All-Star Game is lying to you. It's something everyone wants to be a part of. — Derek Jeter

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Clarice Lispector

That not-knowing might seem awful but it's not that bad because she knew lots of things in the way nobody teaches a dog to wag his tail or a person to feel hungry; you're born and you just know. Just as nobody one day would teach her how to die: yet she'd surely die one day as if she'd learned the starring role by heart. For at the hour of death a person becomes a shining movie star, it's everyone's moment of glory and it's when as in choral chanting you hear the whooshing shrieks. — Clarice Lispector

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Jeffree Star

If everyone spent as much time o happiness as they did on drama and anger, they'd shine a lot brighter! — Jeffree Star

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Alison Moyet

If you think about it, I was at college, and then three months later, I was a massive pop star. It's stress-making, especially when you're a bit of an oddball as I was, the black sheep left to your own devices, and then suddenly everyone's interested in you. — Alison Moyet

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Phil Simms

Sometimes, it's good to have a tremendous star, because everyone understands he has to get the ball. — Phil Simms

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Denzel Washington

In Los Angeles, everyone is a star. — Denzel Washington

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Cynthia Leitich Smith

It's not about you, it's about the story. It's not about the folks who raise an eyebrow because you're not yet published or not yet J.K. Rowling. It's not about what that lady at church may think or, for that matter, the critics. It's not about the fact that you can't please everyone, and it's sure as heck not about the odds. In the immortal words of Gold Five, "Stay on target." You may or may not be the one who destroys the Death Star. But you're a hero if you get out of your own way, put it all on the line, and try. — Cynthia Leitich Smith

Everyone wants to be a movie star or a model, to be in the papers, but few realise just what hard work it is, getting up early, and so on. — Helen Mirren

Everyone's A Star Quotes By A.A. Paton

You pretend to be other people to write their stories." He made it sound like a bad thing. "Writing is a craft. Not everyone has the time to learn it in a way that makes it commercially viable." Not everyone knew where to put a semicolon, or in the case of the pop star whose biography I'd just written, that it wasn't a body part. — A.A. Paton

was throwing at Mood, and attached herself to the star deejay, Frankie Romano. This pissed Bobby off big-time. Why the hell was she going after Frankie? Everyone knew that Frankie was a major womanizing cokehead whom M.J. sometimes hired for the occasional big party. He made an attempt to talk to Serenity, but she blew him off, acting as if she barely knew him. — Jackie Collins

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Chris Hardwick

In the end, all that time I spent in the 'Star Wars' universe fostered galaxies of creativity and made me a better person here on Earth, because it taught me that everyone counts. That's why I can sincerely and with a straight face say: 'May the Force be with you.' — Chris Hardwick

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Terry Goodkind

The Grace represented the world of life, the world of the dead, and the way magic and Creation linked them. The outer circle of the design represented the beginning of the infinite world of the dead. Inside the outer circle was a square, its points just touching the outer circle. Inside the square was another circle, just touching the insides of the square. The area between those two circles with the square represented the world of life. The inside circle was life's beginnings, the outer circle its end, where souls crossed through the veil into the eternity of the underworld. An eight-pointed star inside the smaller circle was the Light of Creation. Lines from the star's points radiated out across the inner circle. the square. and across the outer circle that also symbolized the veil to the wold of the dead. The lines radiating outward from the Light represented the spark of the gift that journeyed with everyone from birth, through life, and on into death. — Terry Goodkind

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Sania Mirza

As a young girl, I used to dream of giving an interview. You dream of stardom as a kid. People think they don't want to be stars. Everyone wants to be a star! That's the truth. Even grownups; they pretend they don't want to be one and don't care. But everyone wants to. — Sania Mirza

Everyone's A Star Quotes By Kirsty Logan

When people are cruel it's often said that they have no heart, only a cold space or lump of ice in their chest. This was never true of Avalon. She had no heart, everyone knew, but there was nothing cold about her. In her chest burned an enormous coal, white-hot, brighter than the North Star. North knew the truth about Avalon: she was made of fire, and she would burn them all. — Kirsty Logan

Everyone's A Star Quotes By D.R. Slaten

This is the explanation I used to have on the site before my page got turned into an author's page.

Don't get butt hurt if I give you a 2 or 3 star rating. That means your book was good. I give very few 4 star ratings cause that means your book is gonna be a reread for me. I don't reread a lot of books. I think I gave less than a handful of 5 stars. 5 stars means that I think the book is a GREAT GREAT. Like a classic that will still be read in a 100 years, at least if I were alive it would be.

As you can see I don't buy into the hoopla that everybody is great. It's not true. Most are average. Some suck. Some are great. If you want a visual go google bell curve.

Life has winners and losers. Not everyone deserves a gold star. Suck it up. — D.R. Slaten
